Tokyo, Japan – In a move to bolster the global indie game scene, Neos has announced the launch of “IndieTech Games,” a new label dedicated to publishing high-quality indie games worldwide, including in Japan. This initiative aims to provide support to indie developers who may lack the resources or expertise to distribute their games on a global scale.

Neos’ Experience in Game Publishing

Neos entered the game development and publishing market for Nintendo Switch in 2019. Their initial success came with “Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey,” which achieved cumulative shipments of over 500,000 units worldwide. Following this, “Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town” also saw global success, exceeding 300,000 units in shipments. This experience has given Neos valuable insights into the global gaming market and the challenges faced by indie developers.

IndieTech Games: A New Opportunity for Indie Developers

“IndieTech Games” will focus on discovering and publishing unique and captivating indie titles, leveraging Neos’ expertise in game planning, development, and marketing. The label will collaborate with regional partners to ensure global distribution. Neos emphasizes that the brand new publishing platform will prioritize titles with strong characters, compelling art, and engaging storytelling.

Initial Titles

At launch, “IndieTech Games” plans to release three titles:

  • PIGROMANCE: An action puzzle game developed by GRAVITY (Korea) for Nintendo Switch.
  • SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure: An action-adventure game by kopiforge (Singapore) for Nintendo Switch, targeting Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.
  • Sunsethills: A puzzle-adventure game developed by Cotton Game (China) and licensed by Asmik Ace (Japan) for Nintendo Switch, also targeting Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.

Details on pricing and release dates for these titles will be announced separately.
